1048 Steps to the Top: Koko Head

Thursday January 5, 2012

Koko Head

I make it a point to get out and have a unique weekly excursion. Last week's excursion was took me up 1048 steps to the top of Koko Head. It is far less strenuous and more legal than Stairway to Heaven (topping 3,900 stairs), but nonetheless my calves were burning.

A recent bush fire scorched about three acres of trees near the trail head. We're lucky the fire was put out quickly and rest of the habitat was preserved. Read about every step to the top here.
